Civil status

Birth Registration

  • -Birth certificate (father and mother)
  • - Algerian nationality certificate
  • - Complete the registration application form
  • - child's birth certificate extracted from the civil status certificate (fFormul A)
  • - A copy of the father's and mother's passports
  • - Family book (Livret de famille) to add the newborn

Marriage Registration

Any Algerian national living abroad may have his/her marriage registered at the Algerian Embassy. A Family Book is issued after registration. To that end, applicants must provide the following supporting documents:

  • - Filling out the registration application form
  • - Birth certificate
  • - Algerian nationality certificate
  • - Civil status certificate from the Turkish population registry  (NUFUS)
  • - Marriage contract issued by the court of the country of residence Formule B
  • -Birth certificate of the husband (if non Algerian National) Formule A
  • - A copy of the spouses' passports
  • - A copy of the Family book (Livret de famille) (from the country of residence)

Report of Death

In case of death of an Algerian national, the embassy must, without delay, be contacted in order to inform the family and provide assistance and advice, if necessary. The family of deceased must also seek the services of a funeral home in order to gather the appropriate following documents ;

  • Proof of citizenship of the deceased.
  • Medical Certificate “non contagious disease”.
  • Original death certificate.
  • Embalming Certificate issued by the funeral services.
  • Transit permit issued by City Hall.
