Visa Application procedure to enter Algeria
Family Visa
- Two (02) application forms duly filled, dated and signed by the applicant with two pictures attached to each form. Application forms should be downloaded from the Embassy of Algeria in Ankara
- Copy of the valid Consulate Registration Card of the Algerian spouse or parent if they are registered at the Embassy of Algeria in Ankara or an invitation letter duly certified by the local authorities in Algeria including the name and address of the family member inviting the applicant and their relationship to him.

The passport is valid for at least 06 months and contains at least two (02) blank pages for the visa to be issued.

Tourist Visa
- Two (02) application forms duly filled, dated, and, signed by the applicant with two pictures attached to each form. Application forms should be downloaded from the Embassy of Algeria in Ankara.
- An invitation letter duly certified by the local authorities in Algeria including the name and address of the inviting person with a copy of his identification document, an invitation with an itinerary from a travel agency in Algeria, or a confirmation of a hotel booking.
- Travel insurance covering the duration of stay in Algeria.
- Letter of employment or evidence of activity or income.
- The passport is valid for at least 06 months and contains at least two (02) blank pages for visa the to be issued.

- Round-trip flight ticket to be provided after accepting the visa application.
- Copy of a valid residence document in Turkey for non-Turkish applicants.

Business Visa

- "Letter of the company in Turkey" stating the position held by the applicant and the purpose of the visit.
- Documents proving the identity of the Turkish company, issued within three months (SICIL KAYIT. HIZMET DÖKÜMÜ. IMZA SIRKULARI LISTESI, VERGI NOMRASI)
- Commercial invitation letter from the Algerian company signed by its legal representative and stamped by the Algerian Chamber of Commerce or the Municipality.
- The passport is valid for at least 06 months and contains at least two (02) blank pages for the visa to be issued.
- Copy of the two first pages of the passport
- Travel insurance if the inviting company does not bear the expenses.
- Copy of a valid residence document in Turkey for non-Turkish applicants.

CULTURAL VISA
- Two (02) application forms duly completed, dated, and signed by the applicant with two pictures attached to each form. Application forms should be downloaded form from the Embassy of Algeria in Ankara website.
- An official letter of invitation from the event organizer. Associations, unions, and organizations must notify the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Algeria, who will then provide us with the required instructions in this regard.
- Employment letter or proof of activity.
- The passport is valid for at least 06 months and contains at least two (02) blank pages for the visa to be issued.

- Copy of a valid residence document in Turkey for non-Turkish applicants.

TRANSIT VISA
- Two (02) press visa application’s forms duly completed, dated and signed by the applicant with two pictures attached on each form. Application forms should be downloaded from the Embassy of Algeria in Ankara website.
- A valid visa or entry document for the final destination country
- A valid flight ticket to the final destination country.
- Evidence of income or activity.
- The passport valid for at least 06 months and contain at least two (02) blank pages for visa to be issued.

- Copy of a valid residence document in Turkey for non-Turkish applicants.

WORK VISA
- Two (02) application forms duly completed, dated and signed by the applicant with two pictures attached to each form. Application forms can be downloaded from the Embassy of Algeria in Ankara website.
- A temporary work permit issued by the Labor Division at the Wilaya (province) where the applicant will be working.
- An employment contract or employment letter of the applicant for a period exceeding three months.
- Letter of repatriation signed by the employer and sealed by the Labor Office of the Wilaya (province) where the applicant will be working.
- A passport valid for at least 6 months containing at least 2 blank pages for the visa to be issued.
- A copy of the first two pages of the passport.
- A copy of a valid residence document in Turkey for non-Turkish applicants.

Temporary work visa (for a maximum stay of 03 months)
- Two (02) application forms duly completed, dated and signed by the applicant with two pictures attached on each form. Application forms should be downloaded from the Embassy of Algeria in Ankara website.
- Commercialinvitation letter from the Algerian company signed by its legal representative and attested by the Algerian Chamber of Commerce or the Municipality.
- Travel insurance if the inviting company does not bear the expenses.
- Temporary work permit issued by the Labor Division at the Wilaya (province) where the applicant will be working or assistance contract or provision of services concluded by the applicant or his employer with the company in Algeria attested by the Turkish authorities.
- The passport is valid for at least 06 months and contains at least two (02) blank pages for the visa to be issued.

PRESS VISA
- Two (02) press visa application’s forms duly completed, dated and signed by the applicant with two pictures attached to each form. Application forms can be downloaded from the Embassy of Algeria in Ankara website.
- A letter from the journalist's employer mentioning the topic to be covered.
- A detailed statement of audiovisual materials to be used.
- A copy of the professional press card.
- A passport valid for at least 6 months and containing at least 2 blank pages for the visa to be issued.
- A copy of the first two pages of the passport.
- A copy of a valid residence document in Turkey for non-Turkish applicants.

STUDENT VISA
- Two (02) application forms duly completed, dated and, signed by the applicant with two pictures attached to each form. Application forms can be downloaded from the Embassy of Algeria in Ankara website.
- A registration letter from an accredited Algerian educational institution.
- An evidence of scholarship or sufficient income to cover the studies and living in Algeria.
- A passport valid for at least 6 months and containing at least 2 blank pages for the visa to be issued.
- A copy of the first two pages of the passport.
- A copy of a valid residence document in Turkey for non-Turkish applicants.

MEDICAL VISA
- Two (02) visa application forms duly completed, dated and signed by the applicant with two pictures attached to each form. Application forms can be downloaded from the Embassy of Algeria in Ankara website.
- A medical certificate covering medical expenses.
- A letter of acceptance from the medical host institution.
- A hotel reservation or an accommodation certificate duly certified by the local authorities in Algeria including the name, address, and, identification document of the inviting person.
- An evidence of sufficient funds for treatment and accommodation expenses.
- A passport valid for at least 6 months containing at least 2 blank pages for the issuance of the visa.
- A copy of the first two pages of the passport.
- A copy of a valid residence document in Turkey for non-Turkish applicants.

DIPLOMATIC VISA
- Two (02) press visa applications duly completed, dated and, signed by the applicant with two pictures attached to each form. Application forms can be downloaded from the Embassy of Algeria in Ankara website.
- An official letter from the Consulate in Istanbul, stating the purpose of the visit and the length of the stay.
- A diplomatic passport valid for at least 6 months and contains at least 2 blank pages for the visa to be issued.
- A copy of the two first pages of the passport.
- A copy of a valid residence document in Turkey for non-Turkish applicants.
- Visa fees.
Note: the Embassy of Algeria in Ankara reserves the right to request additional information/documentation if deemed necessary.
Important information:

Business visa is granted to travelers to Algeria for the purpose of doing business, such as attending business meetings, taking part in economic events, or prospecting the market and exploring partnership opportunities with economic operators. This type of visa offers in no case the right to engage in paid work or activity. If proven otherwise, the visa holder loses all types of protection.

Companies planning to send groups of employees for support missions or to provide installation and maintenance services are required to apply for a temporary work visa if the period does not exceed 03 months, or a work visa in other cases.

The application forms must be filled out online clearly and accurately and pictures (4.5 cm * 3.5 cm) attached as indicated on the form. Incorrect, unfilled, unclear, or unprinted forms will be rejected.

The passport must contain at least two blank pages.

The visa fees are paid in cash and are fixed as per passports citizenships, the period granted, and the number of entries.

For specific cases, the Embassy of Algeria in Ankara may request additional paperwork.

All visitors traveling to the south of the country having booked with authorized travel agencies could get a visa on arrival at airports and land borders with a validity of 30 days, instead of going through normal visa procedures.
