CAREER:

2022-2023: Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and

                    National Community Abroad;

2021-2022: Special Envoy in charge of the question of Western    

                   Sahara and the Maghreb countries;

2014-2020: Ambassador of Algeria to Belgium, Luxembourg and

                    Permanent Representative to the European Union,

                    NATO and WCO;

2009-2014: Director General of Communication, Information and 

                    Documentation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;

2004-2009: Ambassador of Algeria to Malaysia, Thailand and the

                    Philippines;

2000-2004: Director of Eastern Europe at the Europe General

                    Directorate;

1996-2000: Ambassador of Algeria to Poland and Lithuania;

1993-1996: Minister-Counsellor at the Embassy of Algeria in Paris;

1986-1989: Diplomatic Counselor at the Algerian Embassy in   

                    Moscow;

1983-1986: First Secretary at the Algerian Embassy in Bucharest;

1978-1983: Head of the Office for Relations with the USSR.

 

Mr. Amar BELANI was appointed President (and member) of the Algerian delegations to many meetings of international organizations (UN, CDH, World Conference on Human Rights, Meeting of multilateral groups on the Middle East following of the Madrid Conference).
