Mr Attaf partakes in extraordinary session of Arab League Council at ministerial level

Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, took part Friday evening in Istanbul (Turkiye), in the works of the extraordinary session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level, to examine developments related to the Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The participants in this emergency meeting “unanimously condemned Israel's aggression against Iran, describing it as a violation of the UN Charter and a threat to peace and security throughout the Middle East. They called on the UN Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities in this matter.
The Arab foreign ministers also called for a de-escalation, a ceasefire, as well as a return to the negotiating table with a view to reaching a peaceful settlement of the Iranian nuclear file.
Similarly, it was emphasized that the key to Middle East peace remains tied to ending the war of extermination against the Palestinian people and making progress toward a just and final settlement of the Palestinian issue, in line with the principles established by the international law.
