Eid al-Fitr: President of the Republic receives greetings from Turkey’s counterpart

ALGIERS-The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune received Sunday a phone call from his brother, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of the sisterly Republic of Turkey, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who offered him and the Algerian people his Eid al-Fitr greetings, said the Presidency of the Republic in a statement.

In response, President Tebboune conveyed his Eid al-Fitr greetings to his Turkish counterpart and wished the brotherly Turkish people further progress and prosperity, the statement said.  

The two leaders also agreed to meet soon within the framework of the High Joint Committee, which they will co-chair, the source said.  

On this occasion, the two presidents called for a swift resolution to the ongoing tragedy faced by the Palestinian people, who are suffering the worst forms of genocide in history."
