Accreditation of Journalists and Foreign-Registered Media Outlets for the Coverage of the Local Elections of 28 November 2026
As part of the preparations for the local elections scheduled for 28 November 2026, journalists of Algerian or foreign nationality working for foreign-registered media based in Türkiye, Georgia and Turkmenistan who wish to cover these elections in the following wilayas (provinces): Algiers, Oran and Constantine, are informed that applications for temporary accreditation must be submitted between 20 October and 20 November 2026 to the Consular Section of the Embassy of Algeria in Ankara.
The accreditation application file must include the following documents:
- A temporary accreditation information Form (Download here), duly completed and signed by the applicant. The journalist must specify in this form the wilaya (s) to which he/she intends to travel;
- A request for media coverage issued by the employing organization;
- A copy of the applicant's press card;
- Two (02) recent passport photos in JPEG format;
- A copy of the passport;
- A list of all audiovisual and technical equipment;
- A press visa application form, duly completed in two copies (Download here).
