The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs . Bakhta Selma Mansouri, holds bilateral meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of Regional Cooperation

The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of African Affairs, Bakhta Selma Mansouri, held on Wednesday a bilateral meeting with Ugandan Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of Regional Cooperation, John Mulimba, as part of their participation in the African Union (AU) Extraordinary Summit on the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP), scheduled for 9-11 January 2025 in the Ugandan capital Kampala.

In addition to discussing joint cooperation between Algeria and Uganda, this meeting discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and establish new partnerships that serve the mutual interests of both countries.

The meeting also enabled to address key African issues, including developments of the security situation in Africa, enhancing continental complementarity, and reforming AU institutions.

During this occasion, Mansouri reaffirmed Algeria’s commitment, under the leadership of President Tebboune, to enhance cooperation with fellow African countries, mirroring Algeria’s dedication to supporting African solidarity and promoting sustainable development and stability across the continent.
